KAREY LEE WATANABE, founder and head coach of Sweet Riders Canada/Japan, lived and raced in Japan for 23 years. She holds three Japanese DH Series Champion titles and has raced in World Cups, the Canadian National Series and Norba events in various countries around the world. She moved back to her native country Canada in February of 2015 and currently resides in the Crowsnest Pass, Alberta.
Women in the Mountains
Women in the Mountains was created to build mountain bike skills for women of all levels. Bring your love for bicycles, an avid appreciation for the outdoors, and a smile! Our clinics provide the opportunity to enhance your mountain biking skills in a comfortable and relaxed setting. While building physical skills, we also work on mindset. We foster an environment of personal growth and empowerment, both on and off the bike!
Founder Erica Tingey raced mountain bikes professionally from 2010 to 2017. She raced to the front of the field to secure multiple podiums on the National level over her career and raced several international World Cups on the mountain bike. She won 2 Masters National Championship titles on the road (Time Trial and Road Race). She and her husband have a 12-year old son and they live in Park City, Utah. For 2021, she is supported by JAMIS bicycles for the 9th season in a row. With a great support crew and loving family, she is able to fulfill her dreams of empowering women on and off the bike. Erica is a master mountain bike coach, WFR certified and a certified Life Coach and Weight Loss Coach.

Gravity is a professional Mountain Bike coaching company in Comox, Vancouver Island and their coaches are amazing! They offer private and group sessions, school mountain bike programs, Spring and Summer programs for adults and kids, Island Cup race clinics and a non-profit bicycle recycle program.
